Day 1: Welcome to Kenya.

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, your driver/guide will be waiting to pick you up from your flight. You will spend your first night in Karen Country Resort, located outside of the busy town center of Nairobi. It is close to several tourist attractions like Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum and the Bomas of Kenya. Depending on your time of arrival you can visit these sites at your own cost.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National park.

After an early breakfast, you head to the first national park of your trip! Lake Nakuru national park. On your way, you will have a stopover at Thomson Falls and the Rift valley viewpoint from where you can take beautiful landscape pictures.

On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. You will enjoy the ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for game drives, bird watching, and hiking.

You will do a game drive in the park on arrival. The luxury Sarova Lion Hill game lodge your accommodation for the night.

Day 3: To the Masai Mara.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the world-famous Masai Mara game reserve on the border with Tanzania. An excellent year-round animal concentration and known for its typical short savanna plains. Home to the great migration in the months July – October when two million Wildebeest make their way northwards from the Serengeti in Tanzania.

On arrival at the gate, you will have a long en-route game drive towards the tented camp where you will spend the coming two nights. After a nice lunch, you will continue with an afternoon game drive to spot lions, buffaloes, antelopes and hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River.

The coming three nights you will sleep at Mara Ngenche Safari camp. Mara Ngenche Safari Camp is unfenced and is designed to allow the exciting movement of animals through the grounds offering an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere for experiencing the full adventure of the African bush. In addition, each tent has its own private plunge pool.

Day 4: To Lake Naivasha, Boat safari.

An en-route game drive will take you to the gate of Masai Mara. You will arrive at Lake Naivasha for a late lunch.

Lake Naivasha is home to a wide variety of wildlife including a sizeable population of hippos which usually invade our property during their nightly forays for food. Being a freshwater lake, it also has a healthy fish population to include Black bass, Tilapia, and Crayfish which attract a variety of fish-eating birds such as Long-tailed and Great Cormorants, along with Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and various types of Kingfishers. In the afternoon you will do a boat safari on the lake to see the birds and hippos.

Tonight you will spend the night at Enashipai Resort & Spa. Offering views of Lake Naivasha, Enashipai Resort & Spa is situated in Naivasha. It features an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi access.

Day 5: Bye Kenya/ welcome Uganda

We I’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight to Uganda.

Day 5A: ARRIVAL IN ENTEBBE.

You I’ll be welcomed at the airport in Entebbe and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Overnight at Hotel Olympia.

Day 6: TRANSFER TO THE RWENZORI REGION.

After breakfast we leave the bustling capital city and drive towards the peaceful, calm town of Fort Portal ( 4hours drive). Check in at your accommodation with the splendid view at Mountains of the Moon hotel. Here you I’ll enjoy lunch before u visit Toro Botanical Gardens, at a walking distance of your guesthouse. Enjoy a guided walk through the garden full of colourful flowers and medicinal plants while you look for the rich bird life. Later the afternoon return for dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.

Day 7:  CRATER LAKE EXPEDITION.

A full day to enjoy the natural beauty of the crater lakes area. Explore the numerous clear lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and hike to the Top of the World. Enjoy the breathtaking view at the green surroundings, the majestic mountains and even the wide Savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Walk to the hidden Mahomah Falls while you experience the daily life from firsthand. Take time to meet the inhabitants as you pass their small villages and learn about the local crops that are cultivated here. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel.

Day 8: FOOTHILLS OF THE RWENZORI. 

Today you I’ll be able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains of the moon in ts full glory. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the foothills and learn about the local culture firsthand. Enjoy the scenic views, have a glimpse of the village life and visit a traditional witchdoctor at his home. We I’ll make a stop at the Amabere Caves. Discover the small hidden waterfall as we enter the cave and admire the stalagmites, stalactites and pillars. Adventurous hikers can even hike over the Rwenzori mountains to Bundibugyo but this requests a good physical condition. The aculture evening is awaiting you after this Impressive day with traditional dances and songs. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel.

Day 9: TROPICAL RAINFOREST AND SWAMPS.

We I’ll leave fort portal and head to Kibale forest. Stop at the charming village Bigodi for a traditional meal at a local house. In the afternoon enjoy the Bigodi swamp walk. This is an initiative of the local community and supports the local community projects. The swamp is often referred to as the “Home of the Great – Blue – Turacos” and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates.  In the evening turn to your accommodation

You can either choose a homestay at a local family or spend the night in the comforts of the African jungle at Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 10:  CHIMP TRACKING.

The forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, and many others. After a hearty picnic lunch we transfer to Bigodi swamp for another totally different walk. Dinner and overnight at Primate lodge Kibale.

Day 11: RETURN TO KAMPALA. 

In the morning we say goodbye to one of the most beautiful regions in Uganda. We start our journey back to kampala. With packed lunch. After arrival at your accommodation in the capital city, spend the afternoon relaxing and reflecting your unforgettable experiences.

Day 12: DEPARTURE.

We I’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
