Day 1: Welcome to Uganda/ rhino sanctuary visit.
You will meet the representative and drive you from Entebbe airport via Kampala the capital city of Uganda to the north west of Uganda in Masindi District to discover the most amazing rhinos at Ziiwa Rhino sanctuary which is about 3hour drive. We will have lunch at our reserve hotel before tracking the rhinos at a closer distance.
Overnight at your reserved place of accommodation.
Day 2: The Murchison Falls National Park visit
Early morning after breakfast we will depart for Murchison falls national park where will have our lunch before visiting the stunning falls. Where we will enjoy the charming view of the sceneries with the roaring sound of waters.
And we will get back to our reserved place of accommodation.
Day 3: Early morning game drive and Boat cruise.
We will get up very early morning head to the wild to meet animals grazing in the savanna of Murchison falls national park and these include elephants, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, hippos, wild dogs and predators like lions, cheetah, and leopard looking for preys. And after we will go for a boat cruise in the afternoon on the enormous viewing birds on the shores, hippos, and crocodiles.
And we will spend our night in Budongo forest which is part of Murchison falls national park but in the jungle.
Day 4: Drive to the Rwenzori region.
Early morning your driver guide will drive you the western part of Uganda in the mountains of Rwenzori which is about 240 km.
Day 5: TRANSFER TO THE RWENZORI REGION.
After breakfast, we leave the bustling capital city and drive towards the peaceful, calm town of Fort Portal ( 4hours drive). Check in at your accommodation with the splendid view at Mountains of the Moon hotel. Here you I’ll enjoy lunch before u visit Toro Botanical Gardens, at a walking distance of your guesthouse. Enjoy a guided walk through the garden full of colorful flowers and medicinal plants while you look for the rich bird life. Later the afternoon return for dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.
Day 6: CRATER LAKE EXPEDITION.
A full day to enjoy the natural beauty of the crater lakes area. Explore the numerous clear lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and hike to the Top of the World. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the green surroundings, the majestic mountains and even the wide Savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Walk to the hidden Mahomah Falls while you experience the daily life from firsthand. Take time to meet the inhabitants as you pass their small villages and learn about the local crops that are cultivated here. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel.
Day 7: FOOTHILLS OF THE RWENZORI.
Today you I’ll be able to enjoy the beauty of the mountains of the moon in its full glory. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the foothills and learn about the local culture firsthand. Enjoy the scenic views, have a glimpse of the village life and visit a traditional witchdoctor at his home. We I’ll make a stop at the Amabere Caves. Discover the small hidden waterfall as we enter the cave and admire the stalagmites, stalactites, and pillars. Adventurous hikers can even hike over the Rwenzori mountains to Bundibugyo but this requests a good physical condition. The cultural evening is awaiting you after this Impressive day with traditional dances and songs. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon hotel.
Day 8: TROPICAL RAINFOREST AND SWAMPS.
We I’ll leave fort portal and head to Kibale forest. Stop at the charming village Bigodi for a traditional meal at a local house. In the afternoon enjoy the Bigodi swamp walk. This is an initiative of the local community and supports the local community projects. The swamp is often referred to as the “Home of the Great – Blue – Turacos” and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. In the evening turn to your accommodation
You can either choose a homestay at a local family or spend the night in the comforts of the African jungle at Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 9: CHIMP TRACKING.
The forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, and many others. After a hearty picnic lunch, we transfer to Bigodi swamp for another totally different walk. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.
Day 10: RETURN TO KAMPALA.
In the morning we say goodbye to one of the most beautiful regions in Uganda. We start our journey back to Kampala. With a packed lunch. After arrival at your accommodation in the capital city, spend the afternoon relaxing and reflecting on your unforgettable experiences.
Day 11: DEPARTURE.
We I’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
